Edit Subscription Notification Templates

Updated today

Providing transparent updates about subscription status is one of the most effective ways to build trust and increase customer loyalty. In Recurpay, notifications are automatically triggered by specific events, such as order renewals, failed payments, or paused subscriptions.

Because these emails are sent during critical moments in the customer journey, the language should be clear, action-oriented, and directly related to the event.

How to Customize Your Notifications

You can fully manage the content and design of your customer emails directly from the Recurpay dashboard.

  1. Navigate to Settings: Open your Recurpay dashboard and go to Settings > Notifications > Scroll down to Customers Notification

2. Select a Template: You will see a list of available triggers (e.g., Subscription Created, Renewal Reminder, Payment Failed). Click on the template you wish to edit.

3. Edit Content: Use the editor to update the subject line and body text. You can use dynamic tags to automatically include the customer's name, order total, or subscription frequency.

4. Save Changes: Once satisfied with the preview, click Save.

Best Practices for Notifications

  • Be Clear: Ensure the subject line clearly states what is happening (e.g., "Your subscription is renewing in 3 days").

  • Stay Scannable: Use short sentences and bold key information like dates and prices so customers understand the message at a glance.

  • Brand Consistency: Use the same tone and colors as your Shopify store to maintain a professional look.
