What happens if you disable auto-cancel subscriptions

Updated over 3 weeks ago

In Recurpay, the auto-cancel feature allows subscriptions to end automatically after a specific number of orders. If you choose to disable auto-cancel, here’s what will happen:

1. Subscriptions will continue without an end:

Without auto-cancel, subscriptions will continue to renew until they are manually canceled.

2. Failed payments will only halt the subscription:

If a customer's payment fails, the subscription will go into a halted state. Recurpay will keep trying to charge the card up to 10 times, but the subscription will not cancel itself.

3. You will need to manage cancellations manually:

Turning off auto-cancel means cancellation has to be manually done by the merchant or by the customer from the customer portal.
