Recurpay allows you to control whether a subscription continues indefinitely or ends automatically after a specific number of billing cycles. This gives you more flexibility, especially if you offer fixed-period subscriptions like “3-month prepaid” or “6 deliveries only” plans.
Step 1: Go to your Subscription Plan
From your Recurpay dashboard, open the "Plans" section and click on the plan you want to modify.
Step 2: Scroll down to Auto cancel subscription
You’ll see two options under this section:
Do not cancel subscription automatically
This means the subscription will continue to renew automatically until the customer cancels it themselves.
Best for ongoing/regular subscriptions such as coffee, pet food, or vitamins that customers order repeatedly.
2. Cancel subscription automatically after "X" orders
This option lets you automatically end a subscription after a fixed number of renewals.
Perfect for prepaid or limited-period plans like “3-month coffee subscription” or “6 deliveries of skincare products.”
Simply enter the number of orders after which you want the subscription to end.
Example
Let’s say you select “Cancel subscription automatically after 6 orders.”
Once the customer receives their sixth subscription order, Recurpay will automatically mark their subscription as Completed, and they won’t be charged again unless they re-subscribe.
The click on "update plan" to save the changes.
Pro tip : If you’re creating a prepaid or fixed-period plan, you can combine this setting with your Prepaid Subscription setup to give customers full clarity.
