The Build a Box feature allows shoppers to hand-pick their favorite items and bundle them into a single, personalized subscription box. Understanding the customer journey from selection to checkout helps you optimize your storefront layout for higher conversions.
1. Entering the Box Builder
The build a box page is ideally added at the header menu option of the website, with the name build a box for easy identification.
When you navigate to our Build a Box page, you will be greeted by a dedicated interface that looks different from a standard product page. You will typically see:
The types of box available, with the discounts and numbernof items that need to be added to each box
2. Selecting Your Items
To build your box, simply browse the selection and click "Add" or the "+" icon on the items you want.
Quantity Controls: You can often add multiple units of the same item as long as you stay within the total box limit.
Automatic Validation: The "Add to Cart" button will remain locked or grayed out until you have reached the minimum number of items required for that specific box.
3. Choosing Your Frequency
Once your box is full, you will see a subscription summary. Here you can:
Select Delivery Interval: Choose how often you want your custom box delivered (e.g., Every 30 days, every 2 months).
View Savings: If a discount is applied to the bundle, you will see the "Subscription Discount" reflected in the total price before you check out.
4. Checkout Experience
After clicking "Add to Cart," you will proceed to the checkout page.
Itemized List: In your cart, you will see the "Build a Box" title, often followed by a list of the specific contents you chose.
Subscription Tag: The cart will clearly label the item as a "Recurring Subscription" so you know when your next delivery is scheduled.
5. Managing Your Box Later
After your purchase, you can log in to your Customer Portal at any time to:
Swap Items: Want to try something different next month? You can usually swap out specific products in your box without canceling the whole subscription.
Adjust Frequency: Change how often your box arrives.
Skip or Pause: If you have too much product, you can skip your next delivery with one click.
