Coffee is a daily necessity for many consumers, making it the ideal product for a "no-break" subscription experience. By offering subscriptions, coffee brands ensure their customers never run out of stock while simultaneously increasing Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) and customer retention.
Benefits for Coffee Brands:
Continuous Supply: Ensures customers receive their favorite beans or brews without manual reordering.
Increased Retention: Managed dashboards allow customers to reschedule, pause, or skip orders, building a long-term bond.
Predictable Revenue: Transitioning one-time buyers into subscribers creates a linear growth path for the business.
Step 1: Define your subscription frequency
Go to the Plans section of your Recurpay dashboard and click Add Plan to set how often customers receive their coffee (e.g., every 2 weeks or every month).
Step 2: Set "Subscriber-Only" discounts
Enter a discount percentage in the Discount field to incentivize customers to choose the subscription option over a one-time purchase.
TIP: Offering a 10-15% discount is a "best practice" used by successful brands like Dope Coffee to attract new subscribers.
Step 3: Enable the customer portal
Navigate to Settings > Subscription policies and ensure the Customer Portal is active so customers can manage their own deliveries.
NOTE: Giving customers the flexibility to pause or reschedule their coffee prevents them from canceling when they have too much stock.
Step 4: Configure renewal notifications
Select Notifications and enable the Before Subscription Renewal email to remind customers of their upcoming coffee delivery.
Step 5: Activate the widget on your product page
Go to your Shopify theme editor and ensure the Recurpay widget is visible on your coffee product pages.
