PayPal is one of the largest online payment processors in the world.PayPal creates better ways to manage and move money, and offers choice and flexibility when sending payments, paying or getting paid. Available in more than 200 markets around the world, the PayPal platform, including Braintree, Venmo and Xoom, enables consumers and merchants to receive money in more than 100 currencies, withdraw funds in 56 currencies and hold balances in their PayPal accounts in 25 currencies.
π¨ Note: It is highly advised to activate Reference transactions on your Paypal account. It is mandatory to process recurring payments, you can get it activated by reaching out to your PayPal support executives. |
Here is a step-by-step process to integrate Paypal with Recurpay:
Step 1: Log in to your Paypal Account or click here.

Step 2: Click on Developer in the upper right corner of the Paypal dashboard.
Step 3: Select the mode (Choose Live) for which you want to generate the API key. You can ignore this step if the mode is already set to Live.
Step 4: Click on Create App to generate the API key.
Step 5: Write the App name as Recurpay and click on Create App.
Tip: It is advised to select the correct Sandbox Business Account. |
Step 6: Copy the Key (client id ) and Secret and navigate back to the Recurpay dashboard and go to Settings >> Payments
Note: If you can't find a Payments section on your Recurpay settings, please don't worry that means you already have the gateway connected to your e-commerce platform and won't require any further actions from your end. |
Step 7: On the next screen just click on Activate button right next to the PayPal section, paste the Key and Secret, and click on Save and activate.
