Frequency: Subscription vs. Plan

Quick Guide to Updating Subscription and Plan Frequencies.

Updated today

In Recurpay, you can adjust the delivery frequency in two primary ways: either by updating an individual, existing subscription or by modifying the subscription plan itself to apply changes to all future sign-ups. Follow the steps below to get started, and for more detailed guidance, please refer to this video.

1. Changing Frequency on an Individual Subscription

Modifying a subscription directly only affects that one customer's delivery schedule.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to Subscriptions:

    • Log in to your Recurpay dashboard.

    • Click on the Subscription option in the navigation menu.

  2. Select the Subscription:

    • Click on the specific subscription you wish to modify from the list. This will take you to the individual subscription dashboard.

  3. Change Delivery Frequency:

    • On the subscription dashboard, locate and click the Change delivery frequency button.

    • Select the new frequency (e.g., from 'Every 30 Days' to 'Every 15 Days').

  4. Save Changes:

The chosen subscription will immediately update to the new delivery schedule.

2. Changing Default Frequency on a Subscription Plan

Modifying a plan changes the default frequency for all new subscriptions created under this plan going forward. Existing, active subscriptions on this plan are not automatically updated and must be modified individually (using the steps above).

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to Plans:

    • Log in to your Recurpay dashboard.

    • Click on the Plan option in the navigation menu.

  2. Select the Plan:

    • Select the specific plan that you want to edit.

  3. Update Delivery Frequency:

    • Locate the setting labeled “How frequently will they receive their order?” this option determines both the delivery schedule and the billing cycle for a recurring subscription plan.

    • Change this value to your preferred delivery frequency, and the billing frequency will be automatically updated to match.

    4. Save the Plan:

    • Scroll to the bottom and click Save Plan to apply all changes.

Any new subscriptions created using this plan will now default to the updated delivery and billing frequencies.
