Once you’ve installed Recurpay, we automatically create plans for you as per your industry. You can also create more plans.
Subscription plans define what products customers can subscribe to, how often they’ll be charged, and what kind of discounts or benefits they’ll get for subscribing.
Let’s walk through how to create one:
Step 1 : Go to Subscription Plans
From your Recurpay dashboard, click on "Plans → Add Plan".
You’ll land on the plan setup screen where you can define everything about your subscription.
If you do not have the time to read through, you can watch this video guide on how to create a subscription plan - CLICK ME
Step 2 : Choose your Subscription Type
Recurpay offers two main types of subscriptions:
Ongoing (Regular) Subscription
Customers are billed automatically on a recurring basis (for example, every 7 days, 1 month , or 3 months) until they cancel.
Prepaid Subscription
Customers pay upfront for a fixed number of deliveries (for example, 3-month or 6-month prepaid plan).
They’ll receive orders automatically for the prepaid duration and won’t be charged again until renewal.
Learn more about these types here.
Set your Delivery and Billing Frequency
Decide how often you’ll charge and ship orders.
For example:
Deliver every 1 month, bill every 1 month
Or deliver every 1 week, bill every 2 month
This is where you control how your recurring cycle works for your customers.
Step 3 : Add your Plan Details
Give your plan a name and a short description, customers will see this on your product page.
Example:
Name: “3 month Coffee Subscription”
Description:
“Get additional 5% discount
Skip, edit, or cancel anytime
You will receive an order in every 1 Month”
NOTE: If you want to offer multiple plans opions for same products, You can also create another delivery and billing within the same plan by clickin "Add frequency" here and repliating the step above
Step 4 : Choose Products
Click Add Products and select the items from products or collections that should be available on this plan.
You can add one or multiple products and collections depending on how you want to bundle your subscriptions.
You can choose to offer the subscription on complete product or on variant level as well.
🚨 Note: You can only create a plan on active products. If you want to create a plan for a draft product (that you don’t want visible on your storefront yet), you can make the product active and simply remove it from the Online Store sales channel in Shopify. |
Step 6 : Add Discounts (optional)
Offer special pricing for subscribers, for example, 10 % off for subscription orders. This helps you grab more customers.
Step 7 : Auto-Cancel & Renewal Settings
