If you want to prevent customers from canceling their subscriptions too early, you can define a minimum number of orders that must be completed before the cancel option becomes available. This helps protect against early churn and ensures customers experience the full value of their subscription before opting out.
Step 1: Go to Settings > Policies
From your Recurpay dashboard, navigate to Settings > Policies.
Scroll down to find the Cancellation Rule section.
Step 2: Set the Minimum Order Requirement
In the field labeled “No. of orders required in subscription before customers can cancel”, enter the number of orders that should be processed before cancellation is allowed.
For example:
If you enter 3, customers will only be able to cancel after their third order has been successfully processed.
If you leave this field empty, the cancel button will be visible to customers from the beginning of their subscription, allowing cancellation at any time.
Step 3: Save Your Changes
Once you’ve entered the preferred number of orders, click Save. The rule will instantly apply to all active and future subscriptions in your store.
Pro tip: Setting a cancellation rule is especially useful for businesses offering trial packs, curated boxes, or discounted first deliveries, ensuring you recover acquisition costs before customers cancel.
Your customers will now see the cancellation button in their portal only after they’ve completed the required number of subscription orders.
